MDS Intelligence Expands Global Automotive Cybersecurity Market with Vehicle Key Management System
May 19, 2026

MDS Intelligence, a key subsidiary of AI embedded solution specialist MDS Tech [086960], is expanding its global market presence with its vehicle key management system (KMS) solution, NeoKeyManager (NKM), the company announced on May 19.

NKM is increasingly adopted across domestic major automakers and their electronic parts supply chains, and is utilized by global Tier-1 partners to meet the cybersecurity requirements of North American and Japanese OEMs.

The automotive industry is rapidly transitioning to software-defined vehicles (SDVs), accompanied by strengthening global security regulations such as UNECE WP.29 R155/R156 and ISO/SAE 21434. This heightens the importance of managing in-vehicle cryptographic keys and authentication systems.

NKM offers an integrated platform for the entire lifecycle management—generation, distribution, storage, and disposal—of cryptographic keys used in vehicle production lines and ECU environments. It serves as a core infrastructure linked to automotive security systems like Secure Flash, Secure Debug, and OTA protection.

With the rising emphasis on vehicle security in next-generation mobility and autonomous driving sectors, collaborative projects have increased. Leveraging its production experience within domestic automotive supply chains, MDS Intelligence is expanding cooperation within global supply networks and accumulating security compliance cases for North American and Japanese OEMs.

Additionally, new European regulations such as the Cyber Resilience Act (CRA) are emerging as industry-wide security standards, potentially broadening the adoption of vehicle security technologies. Based on its expertise in KMS and authentication infrastructure acquired in the automotive sector, MDS Intelligence is expanding its business into manufacturing and heavy industries.

Woo Kyung-il, Executive Director of MDS Intelligence’s Cybersecurity Division, stated, “As the automotive industry swiftly shifts to an SDV-based architecture, the importance of in-vehicle security frameworks is increasingly recognized. Vehicle KMS has established itself not merely as a security solution but as a foundational element of vehicle trust systems.” He added, “With escalating security regulations across global OEMs and manufacturers, demand for cryptographic key and authentication system management is expected to grow rapidly. Building on our domestic production supply chain experience and references, we will continue to promote market expansion in Japan and globally.”
